Husband Has No Idea Police Already Traced the Stalker to His Office

For ten weeks he helped police hunt his wife's stalker. Then detectives asked about the Wi-Fi. 🔍 The Kristil Krug case, told through the interview room recording. December 14, 2023. Broomfield, Colorado. Kristil Krug, an engineer and mother of three, was found dead in the garage of her home. For weeks before, she had been receiving threatening messages from someone claiming to be a man she dated decades earlier, and she had reported the stalking to police. Two days later her husband, Daniel Krug, was arrested. Investigators said many of the stalking messages were sent through the internet connection of his workplace in Denver. In April 2025 a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder, stalking and criminal impersonation, and he was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 9.5 years. He has maintained his innocence. Status, last checked November 2, 2026: in a 2025 ABC 20/20 interview he said he would fight the conviction on appeal. We found no reporting on an appeal ruling.
